Whether new to or familiar with pastels, you’ll engage with their range of possibilities in this full day immersion. Hands-on work and teacher demonstrations will cover materials and techniques for making striking images in pastel. The process will include thoughtful observation, essential color exercises, small studies and finished pieces. Students will also learn how to look beneath the surface details to find the essence of a scene or idea. Taming the overwhelming opens the way for a confident and delightful process.
