Whether balancing crazy objects on his chin, juggling 5 balls, or dashing across the stage on a 'motorized' monocycle, Randy Judkins makes the formally difficult look ridiculously simple. He involves 'willing' spectators in some routines. His humanity, infectious spirit, and comic timing endear him to all audiences.
Adam Swanson is one of the world’s foremost performers of vintage American popular music, including ragtime, early jazz, and more.
You may not know you know Will Galison’s music, but you do. You’ve heard his harmonica on hundreds of movie scores, albums, and commercials.

After years of trying unsuccessfully, the small town of Mynute, Alaska, finally lands the famous Mother Mabel’s Pie-Baking Competition — but it was all due to a typo mistaking Mynute for Minot! The contest looks to be a disaster with no media or publicity. To add to the tension, one of the contestants is writing a tell-all book about the seamy side of competitive pie baking. Making matters even worse, just hours before the competition begins, the pie judge goes missing. Has he been murdered? And what about a missing celebrity baker? With an ample serving of motive and all the right ingredients for murder, this is the perfect “dessert theater” recipe for big laughs, lots of wordplay, outrageous characters, and hilarious audience participation.
The Pownal Rec Committee and the fabulous Michael F. Morin & Robin Hodsdon Morin are your hosts for some down home fun at the historic Mallett Hall (Town Hall) located at 429 Hallowell Road, Pownal Center.

Visiting Meetinghouse Arts from England are David Heyes, double bassist and Sarah Poole, soprano. Also performing will be Boston’s talented double bassist Susan Hagen. Besides being a bassist and teacher, David is also a composer who has often written pieces for multiple basses and bass/soprano duos. This might be the first time you’ve heard the full range of the bass as a solo instrument or string and vocal duos. If so, you’re in for a treat. Don’t miss it!

Visit Freeport & Meetinghouse Arts invite you to join us on a journey through Freeport, Pownal, Durham & New Gloucester to explore the artist & maker studios often hidden on side streets and country roads. The Gawlers are a fun-loving, fiddling family band with shining smiles and joyful sounds. John and Ellen Gawler are master fiddle and banjo players and their three daughters, Molly, Edith and Elsie grew up with the music and formed a band of their own - The Gawler Sisters. The band includes "brother" Bennett Konesni and Ethan Tischler (Elsie's partner.) The full band has a gorgeous and high spirited sound of string instruments (fiddle, banjo, guitar, cello, bass) as well as harmony singing.
